Consultant Psychiatrist – Hackney, London - Up To £126,000

Join our clients renowned centre of excellence for mental and healthcare as they seek a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide leadership and clinical oversight to the male inpatient psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), a 15-bedded unit.

Position Overview:

• Salary Range: £95,000 to £126,000 per annum
• Leadership Role: Oversee the male PICU, a 15-bedded unit.
• Full-time position with potential for service development and medical leadership opportunities.
• Collaborative Environment: Work closely with a full multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality inpatient treatment.
• Potential relocation support of up to £10,000 available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the inpatient team, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate leave and cover arrangements for patients under your responsibility.
• Contribute to service planning, development, and management within the ward.
• Conduct consultations, assessments, and treatments for individuals requiring intensive care during their inpatient admission.

Requirements:

• Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice.
• Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
• Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
