We have an exciting opportunity to join our well-established client in Nottingham who proudly hold years of successful research into medical, veterinary and scientific problems that are faced world-wide, some examples are Acute Kidney Injury and bone grafting.
Our client houses a range of animals from rodents to fish, to large animals and are looking for a hardworking, experienced individual to join their team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To work as part of a team to ensure the maintenance of animal cages/tanks
- Health checking of animals to ensure they are free from injury, disease, pain etc.
- Preparing diet
- Management of breeding colonies
- Assist senior staff with their roles as requested
- Ensuring areas, surfaces and equipment are as clean and sterile as possible to prevent the introduction or spread of disease and infection
Person Specification
- You must have previous experience working with animals in a similar setting (preferably rodents)
- You must have a great understanding of ASPA
