Remedicare have a new exciting career opportunity become available with one of our most successful care providers in the country, we are recruiting for a Nurse Home Manager to manage an 41 bedded nursing home in Ipswich for the elderly care. This role is all about making sure the environment meets a high standard and initiate a proactive schedule of future works.

The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience and ideally have worked in a similar environment. My client is considering candidates who have 2 years deputy manager experience but home manager experience is preferred.

Key requirements

• Two years previous experience at Deputy Manager level is essential although previous Home Manager experience preferred
• NVQ level 5 or equivalent qualification, or willing to work towards
• Active NMC Pin
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Have a clear and thorough knowledge of the CQC standards

Brief job responsibilities

• Responsible for the 24 Hour smooth running of the home
• Must have strong leadership and organisational skills to ensure high standards of care and business efficiency
• Ability to prepare monthly reports collected for the Board of Directors and the Care Quality Commission
• Good communication skills are essential to liaise with the residents’ families, friends, GP, community nurses, specialist, pharmacists, local authorities, local councils, voluntary bodies and any other associations related to the care for the elderly
