JOB TITLE:                   Residential Support Worker – Residential Children’s Home

All applicants should possess a valid driver's license and have the capability to operate a manual vehicle.

Salary:                          Up to £27,00 per annum (including sleeps)

LOCATION:                 Hinckley, Leicester (LE10)

Job Summary

You will be responsible for providing day to day care for our Young People, whether this is supporting them in activities, education or statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. You will work as part of a dedicated, caring team to ensure the homes are kept to a good standard, to include cooking and cleaning and of course safeguarding their welfare at all times.  

Person Specification:

• Good standard of written and spoken English, sufficient to write records and reports
• Basic arithmetic
• Experienced of working with young people ages approximately 12 to 17, who have challenging behaviours
• Working as part of a team
• Planning & co – ordinating activities in conjunction with others
• Knowledge of the problems that children and young people can face
• Knowledge of the effects on young people of abuse and oppression
• Knowledge of the importance o treating other people with dignity and respect
