NeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants  with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants  or suitable candidates  who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Dereham, NR19
Hourly Rate: £12-£14 per hour depending on experience.
Driver Essential? Yes
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 

Monday: 10:00am - 04:00pm

Tuesday: 09:30am - 04:00pm

Friday: 10:00am - 04:00pm once a month 

12.5 hours per week, ad hoc 18.5 hours including Friday once a month

About you-Essential Experience:

Client requires a support assistant who has experience of working with clients who have experienced an Acquired Brain Injury. 

About our client:

Our client a 72-year-old male who has an acquired brain injury following an road incident. The client needs support, assistance, and observation to get to and from locations in the community. He requires his support assistant  to drive him to and from locations  to support him and a person available and aware at the end of the journey to assist him on arrival at the planned location.

The successful candidate will be required to help with:

• accompanying him when in the community for safety
• observation and support when preparing meals
• attending and completion of OT and physio goals
• accompany the client to weekly table tennis, volunteering in the local community and attending a local animal shelter 

Successful Candidates will: 

• Have access to full Training - including Brain Injury Awareness Training 
• CPD opportunities 
• Will be subject to Full Enhanced DBS
• Competitive Hourly Rate 
• Gain Experience working with an MDT
