Criteria

• NMC PIN (RGN or RSCN)
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
• Good understanding of the health issues commonly suffered by children and young people.
• School Nurse experience or similar

Responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Working within the School’s Medical Centre underneath the Lead Nurse to ensure that all of the daily health requirements of students are met.
• Undertaking health assessments on students and deciding upon the best course of action in a timely manner before proceeding to provide relevant treatments.
• Assisting with the review of the medical records for new students and staff, and ensuring that these remain confidential throughout their time at the School.
• Assist in the annual review of all policies and procedures and making recommendations for the continuous improvements of the service.
• Helping to ensure that the School’s First Aid and Medical supplies and maintained and up to date.
