CY Partners are currently looking to recruit a remote based Field Service Engineer on behalf of an organisation that designs and delivers specialist buildings and facilities for the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors.  

Most of their projects are UK & Ireland based, however there may be occasional travel required outside of this. The company specialise in the areas of Biomedical Science, Good Manufacturing Process and Biocontainment (mainly CL3) all compliant to ISO standards (9001 / 14001 and 45000)

In this role you will be joining a team of professionals in the Field Service Division delivering testing and validation at client sites across the UK and Ireland.

Duties include: 

• Room integrity testing including leak testing 
• Pressure testing to demonstrate air tightness
• Functioning of differential air pressure cascades
• Routine testing of ventilation systems 
• Calibration of instruments and gauges
• Testing of fumigation control systems
• Running fumigation cycles 
• Facility Reliability Testing 
• Fault finding and trouble shooting 
• Site surveys and feasibility reports
• Delivery of client training for operations and maintenance 
• Provide on-site and remote support for test equipment

Requirements

• OND in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent experience  
• Qualifications in the service and commissioning of HVAC or related equipment in laboratories within the pharmaceutical and life science sectors
• A high standard of literacy and numeracy is required
• Prior related work experience in an engineering discipline preferably within life science and/or healthcare sectors
• Experience in the installation, commissioning and service of building service and equipment in laboratories within the pharmaceutical and life science sectors
• Demonstrated ability to use instrumentation such as manometers, anemometers, bolometers, sound level meters and temperature and humidity meters
• Experience of control systems including BMS/EMS/SCADA
• Experience of Biocontainment/Cleanroom/Containment suites/LEV systems or Cleanrooms
• IQ/OQ/PQ experience within a laboratory setting

Due to the nature of the role, travel flexibility is required.
