We are currently recruiting for: Team Leader
Hours of work: 40 per week
Location: Near Tarleton.
The Role:
Our Brand New Home offers a psychologically informed, therapeutic environment to support young people with complex trauma based behaviour. The service will provide three components which include Residential Care, Education and Health offer.
In consultation with the Registered Manager, the Team Leader will assist in managing the overall daily operations at the home working with children and young people in a residential setting.
Key accountabilities will include
Provide direct line management to a small number of Childcare Workers.
Develop and implement care and risk plans based on individualised children’s need in partnership with referring authorities, therapeutic services, senior management and education settings.
Model best practice in terms of providing high quality care for young people.
be well versed in children’s homes legislation, regulations and inspection framework, in order to support the safe and effectively delivery of care
The Person:
The successful applicant will have:
Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent)
Experience of working with electronic care records and auditing processes within the care system
Excellent administration and IT skills
Excellent communication skills including first-rate literacy and numerical skills
Knowledge of current child care legislation in specific relation to related to children in care Working Knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children’s Homes and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
Significant experience of working within a childcare setting (ideally residential)
