Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
Location: Shropshire Crisis Home Treatment Team - Adults
Contract Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension
Are you an experienced and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) seeking an exciting opportunity to work within a Crisis Home Treatment Team? We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 RMN to join our team in Shropshire, providing crucial support to adults experiencing mental health crises.
Role Overview: As a Band 6 RMN within the Crisis Home Treatment Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will provide timely interventions and therapeutic support to enable service users to manage their mental health needs within their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each service user.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapeutic support to promote recovery and well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to service users and their families during periods of acute distress.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Monitor service user progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve positive outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to enhance professional development and service delivery.
Shift Pattern:
- Mix of shifts including days and nights.
- Days: 7.45am till 8pm
- Nights: 7.45pm till 8am
- 2 days on, 1 day off pattern.
- Rota shift pattern.
Rates:
- £25.50 per hour for days
- £30.75 per hour for nights/Saturdays
- £35.90 per hour for Sundays/Bank Holidays
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with active NMC registration.
- Previous experience working within mental health crisis services is highly desirable.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and autonomously.
- Commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting service user empowerment.
