Are you an experienced Lead Data Analyst with a passion for driving workforce-related projects to success? Join us in this pivotal role where you'll provide advanced data analytical support across various stakeholders, including Board level engagements. Your responsibilities will involve internal reporting, such as divisional or executive board reports, as well as external reporting for entities like ICS, Regional, or National reports. As the key figure in this role, you'll lead, adjust, and amend numerical plans as necessary to ensure project success and organizational efficiency.

This is a contact position inside IR35 offering  fully remote, hybrid or in office working depending on candidates preference, office base is Gloucester. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Advance workforce development plans through expert analysis, collaborating with organisational leaders.
  • Research and apply insights to enhance workforce information analysis and support automation of reports.
  • Resolve complex statistical/information problems, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Utilise modeling techniques to predict future trends and demand requirements.
  • Streamline reports to ensure data clarity and understanding.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain data quality and compliance.
  • Prepare workforce-related reports for NHS organisations.
  • Collaborate with HR professionals to ensure adherence to workforce management processes.
  • Provide expert advice on data collection and dissemination tools.
  • Lead or contribute to the development of tools for information reporting.
  • Maintain quality standards in reports and propose changes to working practices.
  • Provide direct line management and support team development.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and strategic thinking.
  • Act as the ESR lead, serving as a central point of contact and attending meetings as needed.
 

Key Requirement 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Information Management) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a data analysis role, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning methodologies, statistical analysis techniques, and data modelling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including experience in direct line management and team development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and disciplines, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Familiarity with NHS policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements within the organisation.
