Job Title: Registered General Nurse/ Registered Mental Health Nurse (Adhoc Basis)

Job Description: As a RGN/ RMN working on an adhoc basis at our facility in Frimley, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients across various clinical settings. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs, including acute and chronic conditions, injuries, and post-operative recovery.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and health history reviews, to identify and address health concerns.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and ensure their safe and effective delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment, interventions, and changes in condition, and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Document patient assessments, care interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date medical records.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment plans, self-care strategies, and community resources to promote wellness and recovery.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing knowledge, skills, and competencies.

Requirements:

  • Valid registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Previous experience working as an RGN in a hospital, clinic, or community healthcare setting.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Flexibility to work on an adhoc basis, including weekends and evenings as needed.
