CY PARTNERS have an exciting new role with a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry. They are currently seeking a QC Microbiologist to join their dynamic team, while the role is Microbiology focused it will also offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop analytical chemistry skills.

Location: Berkshire, Contract Role

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company specifications.
• Execute environmental monitoring activities in manufacturing areas to maintain a controlled and sterile production environment.
• Conduct microbial identifications and support investigations related to out-of-specification results or deviations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide microbiological expertise for the development and optimization of manufacturing processes.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to microbiological testing and environmental monitoring.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of results.
• Develop your skills in method validation and verification studies for microbiological assays.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a microbiologist in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Understanding of cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements related to microbiological testing.
• Hands-on experience with microbial identification techniques.
• Familiarity with microbiological assay validation and verification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Aseptic technique.
