Job Description: As a Nurse Practitioner working on an adhoc basis at one of our facilities in Liverpool, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. Working under the supervision of physicians, you will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions, as well as promote wellness and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to identify and diagnose health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies within your scope of practice and in accordance with regulatory guidelines and collaborative agreements.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results to aid in diagnosis and treatment decision-making.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment interventions, adjust care plans as needed, and make referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to evidence-based practice standards, clinical protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
  • Participate in professional development activities, continuing education programs, and peer review processes to maintain and enhance your clinical knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Valid registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or another relevant regulatory body.
  • Master's degree or higher in Nursing, with a specialization in advanced practice nursing (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse).
  • Previous experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care, urgent care, or similar clinical setting.
  • Prescriptive authority and ability to independently diagnose and treat common acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Flexibility to work on an adhoc basis, including weekends and evenings as needed.
