CK Group are recruiting for a Lab Manager to join a chemicals company based in Leamington Spa on a full time permanent basis.


The Company:

Our client is a leading recycling specialist company offering their service to polymer industries.


Location:

The site is based in Leamington Spa and is commutable from Birmingham, and Coventry.


Your duties and responsibilities will involve:

• Production of certification of analysis for all sales.
• Stock control of lab consumables.
• Keeping calibration records for the instruments up to date and coordinating service contracts. 
• Following and establishing SSOW procedures & help to maintain KPI’s.
• Attending management meetings.
• Communicating and co-ordinating with production and other departments.
• Taking reports from QC supervisors and Feedstock Team Leader.
• Training of new staff.
• Managing HR procedures such as disciplinaries, PIPs, return to work interviews.

Your Background:

The successful candidate will have:

• Background in ISO 17025 analytical lab standard.
• Managerial experience - essential.
• Chemical tests using instruments such as X-ray Fluoresce (XRF) and Gas chromatography – mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
• Physical testing of samples using several different pieces of equipment.
• Some wet chemistry techniques e.g. liquid/liquid extraction, simple wet chemistry tests (pH, EC).
