The company
Our client, one of the UK's largest family-run businesses, is a respected name in the Healthcare & Medical sector. They design, and manufacture products at their site based in the heart of Birmingham. They're known for their passion for innovation and the development of life-changing equipment for their end customers. Now, expanding their team, they are looking for a Production Engineer with an eye for detail, improving processes and running projects.

The role
As a Production Engineer at their Birmingham site. Reporting to the Engineering Group Leader, you'll play a crucial role in their Production team. This includes looking at OEE, Implementing TPM practices, improving efficiencies and running your work centre (up to 20 machines). Flexible working hours between 6 am - 6 pm, Mon-Fri or Mon-Thur, 40 hours per week.

You will take responsibility for:

• Developing and applying manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot and refine production machinery and equipment.
• Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate across teams to maintain quality and meet customer requirements.

What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful Production Engineer to have the following:

• Apprenticeship trained or degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of experience within a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment & systems.
• Use of CAD Software (Ideally Inventor).

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Previous experience in Medical, device or healthcare manufacturing.
