Night Care Manager

£15.02 per hour inc paid breaks

Location: Wetherby

Contract: Full Time 42 hours per week

My clients home in the Wetherby area is lead by an experienced manager who offers support through out the home on a daily basis. The home is set in a beautiful location and offers a wide range of activities meaning that no day is the same. My client is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant who has worked at Senior Level and is looking for the next step into management  

Responsibilities of the Night Care Manager role: 

• Act as the person in charge of the home in the absence of the Home Manager
• To provide the highest level of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully.
• Being the key worker for a group of residents within the home
• Ensuring that the home is kept safe and ensuring that all legislations such as COSHH, Health and Safety are adhered to. Also maintaining infection control standards
• To participate in the formulation of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both. 

Person specification of the Night Care Manager role: 

• Minimum of 3 years working in a caring environment
• Minimum of NVQ2 but willing to work towards NVQ3 in Direct Care within 6 months of joining the company
• Good numeric and literacy skills
• Basic budgeting and accountancy skills
• A warm and friendly disposition
• Strong team player
• Good communication skills, able to put others at ease
• Supervisory/leadership skills
• Willing to develop management skills
• Reliable and punctual
