Job description:

​We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join our client's ultrasound service based in  in Isle of Man.

Job summary:

• MSK or Midwife (obstetric) to be considered

• Based in Isle of Man

• Competitive Salary depending on qualifications and experience

• Hourly pay rates between 45-50£/hr

• Monday-Friday

• Start date: ASAP

• Block booking minimum until May 

Conducting a range of prenatal scans from early pregnancy reassurance and dating scans, to late pregnancy 4D scans

Producing high quality ultrasound images and videos

Keeping accurate records and making high quality referrals where necessary

Carrying out phlebotomy services for NIPT and ‘SneakPeek’ blood tests (training offered if not already phlebotomy trained)

Working with the management team to ensure a premium client experience

Ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained at all times

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the clinic at all times

Essential Candidate Criteria:

• Must be a qualified and experienced Sonographer with an expert understanding of ultrasound practices and be registered with the HCPC 
• The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a strong patient-centred approach.
• You must have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar position, with available references.
• Must have right to work in the UK.

Main duties of the job:

• You will undertake ultrasound procedures to a high standard and in a professional manner.

• MSK scans of all joints (shoulders, elbows, wrist, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet), peripheral muscles and selected superficial nerves.

• All soft tissue lumps and bumps.

• Head and neck.

• Abdominal wall, groin and muscle hernias.

Requirements:

• Must be NMC/HCPC registered.

• Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience in the UK.

• Right to work in the UK.

• DBS.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
