Electrical Design Engineer – EPLAN – North West / Cheshire - Permanent - £50-55k + bonus

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer with a solid background using the EPLAN design package to join the design office of a systems integrator. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of low voltage power systems, in particular industrial drive systems, power conversion and power generation applications.

Key aspects of the Electrical Design Engineer role include –

• Electrical design (EPLAN) including electrical schematics, control panel GAs, cable block diagrams, cable / termination schedules, bill of materials
• Create functional specifications for systems and components such as motors, drives, switchboards, transformers, energy storage devices and cabling
• Detailed design studies and calculations
• Electrical Design Engineer will produce contract documentation packages
• Customer support, co-ordination, tendering and project handovers
• Occasional project engineering
• Actively be involved in system commissioning.
