Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the company within existing and new sectors of our markets by identifying and securing recruitment business opportunities for permanent and interim job vacancies. Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients, understanding their recruitment needs, and positioning our services as the solution of choice. This role requires a strategic and innovative thinker with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the recruitment industry, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking within the sector through a variety of channels.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organisations. Understand their hiring needs, challenges, and priorities to position Evolve Selection as a strategic recruitment partner.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform the sales approach.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with the internal recruitment team to create customised and compelling proposals that address client needs and showcase the value of Evolve Selection’s services.
  • Negotiation and Closure: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals. Ensure successful onboarding of new clients and facilitate a smooth transition to the recruitment team.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Provide regular updates and insights to the leadership team to inform business strategy.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions. Prepare regular reports on sales performance and contribute to strategic planning sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not essential.
  • Proven track record of at least 2 in business development, preferably within the recruitment or staffing industry preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the industry and the ability to articulate the value proposition of recruitment services.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
