We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurses to join our client's dynamic team in Belfast. As an A&E nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering prompt and effective care to patients in critical situations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Emergency Patient Care: Provide immediate and specialized nursing care to patients presenting in the Accident & Emergency department.
  2. Triage: Assess and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring timely intervention for those in critical situations.
  3. Emergency Procedures: Administer emergency treatments and procedures, such as resuscitation, wound care, and medication administration, according to established protocols.
  4. Diagnostic Support: Assist in diagnostic procedures, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with healthcare professionals for timely decision-making.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to emergencies.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  7. Education: Provide education to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plans, and post-emergency care.
  8. Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the delivery of safe and effective emergency care.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse (RN): Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or relevant licensing body.
  2. A&E Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in an Accident & Emergency setting.
  3. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is a plus.
  4. Clinical Skills: Proficient in emergency nursing procedures and technologies.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey critical information clearly and concisely.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic emergency care environment.
  7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing patient conditions and departmental priorities.
  8. Professionalism: Demonstrate a commitment to ethical and professional nursing practice.
