We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurses to join our client's dynamic team in Belfast. As an ICU nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Monitoring: Monitor and assess patients' conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment. Implement and adjust interventions as needed.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  5. Education: Educate patients and their families about the care plan, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
  6. Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to hospital and unit policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.
  7. Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
  8. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies within the ICU, following established protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse (RN): Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or relevant licensing body.
  2. ICU Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
  3. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (e.g., CCRN) is a plus.
  4. Clinical Skills: Proficient in advanced nursing procedures and technologies related to critical care.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing patient conditions and unit priorities.
  8. Professionalism: Demonstrate a commitment to ethical and professional nursing practice.
