Banner Lane has been retained by a rapidly growing high-tech electronics company to recruit a Technical Marketing Manager. 

Our client  specialises in bespoke RF and Power products for a variety of renewable, power, telecoms, military, government and commercial applications.

Our client is a gold investor in people with strong financial backing from a large listed parent company and a very healthy order book.

As Technical Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into compelling marketing messages, enabling their customers to understand the value and benefits of our clients products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and sales, to drive successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns for all product ranges.  You will also have responsibility for our client's corporate branding and marketing.

The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy professional with a passion for innovative products and a proven track record in developing and executing technical marketing strategies.

Due to the nature of our client's work, individuals will need to go through a number of security checks to qualify for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop technical content, including whitepapers, blog posts, and product documentation.

  • Message Development: Distill complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging messaging.

  • Product Positioning: Refine product positioning and messaging for target audiences.

  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

  • Go-to-Market Strategies: Collaborate on strategies for new product launches.

  • Promotional Materials: Drive product awareness through collateral, webinars, and promotional materials.

  • Sales Enablement: Provide tools and training for sales teams on technical aspects.

  • Library Management: Maintain a library of sales enablement materials.

  • Team Management: Lead a team of digital marketing executives.

  • SEO Strategies: Develop SEO strategies for technical marketing.

  • Analytic Tools: Use analytics to measure and adjust campaign effectiveness.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting on key performance indicators.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee external web developers and graphic design suppliers.

  • CRM Database: Develop and manage the CRM database for marketing needs.

  • Style Guide: Manage the corporate style guide and templates.

  • Budget Management: Manage allocated budget for all activities.

Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in technical marketing or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of technology for translating technical details into compelling messages.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

  • Proactive, creative, and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving ability.

  • Experience managing, motivating, developing, and leading teams.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing – CIM qualifications or a degree in marketing/business/MBA.

  • Technical – Desirable to have a degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific discipline.


Please note this is a hybrid position with 0-2 days working from home per week dependent on schedule.
