NeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants  with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants  or suitable candidates  who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

  • YOUR CV CLEARLY SHOWS YOUR RELEVENT EXPRIENCE WHICH RELATES TO THE POSITION YOU ARE APPLYING FOR.
  • EXPERIENCE IN BRAIN INJURY SUPPORT
  • A FULL CLEAN UK DRIVERS LICENCE AND ACCESS TO A CAR YOU CAN USE FOR WORK

Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Chesterfield, S42
Hourly Rate: £12-£14 per hour depending on experience.

Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 

Tuesday: 09:30am - 11:30am

Friday: 09:00am - 11:00am

About you-Essential Experience:

  • Personal Assistant/Rehab assistant experience.
  • Post grad psychology if possible
  • Personal trainer experience if not with potential to support TBI client 
     

What are the activities required?

Support with paperwork- Access to work ie organisation/planning, filing

Support with applying Brain in Hand – set up by OT and client needs support with using/applying to every day life

Support for an online course (IMAC – accounting course) ie organisation of time/planning/following course direction (not doing for client)

Transportation 

Diary management

Reinforcing strategies such as ‘To do’ lists

Help with problem solving/decision making

Planning, organising and carrying out of domestic tasks (meal prep)

Successful Candidates will: 

  • Have access to full Training - including Brain Injury Awareness Training 
  • CPD opportunities 
  • Will be subject to Full Enhanced DBS

  • Gain Experience working with an MDT

  • Must have a Full UK Driving License and access to your own car
  • Have Experience in the field of Psychology 
  • Willing to become self-employed
