Full time 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Saturday: Shift patterns between 07:00 to 21:00 hours.

Permanent

Salary: competitive up to £48,000 DOE

We’re looking for Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioners at both entry level and Senior level to join our Theatre suites at one of London's Leading Private Hospitals.

The Hospital Campus has 10 Operating theatres, and offers a wide range of surgeries from, Cardiac, Ortho, Liver, Neuro, Urology, Spinal and General. Successful candidates will be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals.

As Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioners, you’ll participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues.

The post holder will be responsible for the routine daily planning and organisation of theatres/ allocated anaesthetic area for clinical procedures and practice. Working with the theatre team; to promote a high standard of professional practice and clinical care that contributes to a good working environment. The post holder will maintain a supportive learning environment within the operating department

Qualifications, Skills and attributes:


  • Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse qualified

  • Post graduate experience in Theatres with a minimum of 4 years for senior positions.

  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration

  • Anaesthetics experience with a minimum of 4 years for senior positions

  • Desirable: Anaesthetics course

  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Desirable: Mentorship course

  • Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge base of anaesthetic practice.

  • Experience in a wide range of specialities.

  • Experience with difficult airway intubation and regional anaesthesia.

  • Ability to act as a preceptor to newly qualified staff

  • Ability to plan and organise own and others work

  • To monitor and care for the sedated patients during procedures

  • The ability to communicate with clarity and intelligibility in both written and spoken English
