As a Registered Nurse, you will be an advocate for their residents, playing a pivotal role in leading shifts, supervising, and managing care staff. Your primary goal will be to provide high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring the dignity and safety of their residents. Your role will also include being a role model for your colleagues and fostering a sense of purpose within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Administration and Care Planning: Ensure accurate medication administration and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Resident Support: Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to residents.
  • Safeguarding: Maintain and uphold safeguarding principles.
  • Shift Leadership: Take responsibility as the Nurse in charge during shifts.
  • Team Management: Oversee team management and shift planning.
  • Infection Control: Implement and monitor infection prevention and control measures.
  • Liaison with Healthcare Professionals: Coordinate with General Practitioners and other healthcare providers.
  • Clinical Governance: Uphold the highest standards of clinical governance.

Essential Requirements:

  • Nursing Qualification: Recognised by the UK NMC.
  • UK NMC PIN: Valid registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting residents with mobility.
  • Background Checks: Role subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks to ensure safe recruitment.
