We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a major growing Pharmaceutical supplier to the UK and International pharmaceutical markets.

Job Title - Pharmaceutical Buyer

Location - Manchester

Salary range - £25,000 to £30,000  plus bonus

Experience - Must have experience in purchasing Pharmaceutical products

Duties and Responsibilities:

Keeping the forecast up to date and ensuring a license has been used or checked in the last 3 months

Preparing and partaking in the purchasing forecast for the monthly review

Getting the Po’s ready and sending them to suppliers – must be monitored over the course of the month

Negotiating prices with pharmaceutical suppliers

Finding new pharmaceutical suppliers and products  – ensuring all are commercially viable for the company

Tracking deliveries to ensure stock is delivered in good time from pharmaceutical suppliers

Liaising with QA for any shipment issues and assisting, where required

Liaising with Regulatory on any license issues and initial applications, where required

Checking In Transit and QF to spot any errors

Reacting to any changes in the market (shortages/higher availability/price changes) and feeding back information to Commercial Manager and Sales team

Build relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers

Checking prices for possible new lines and highlighting profitable ones

Communicating with the buyers and the commercial manager to ensure lowest cost sourced and correct quantity obtained

Ensuring invoiced stock is correct /expiry/QTY/price as agreed and that all invoices are fit for customs as appropriate

Ensuring any changes to products, physical pack or internal pack, are submitted for a sample check

Liaise with other departments within the organization to ensure important information is communicated regarding payments, damages and returns 

Checking stock level and sales and making sure we have enough stock coming for the business
