ZeroAvia is a leader in zero-emission aviation, focused on designing and commercializing hydrogen-powered aviation solutions. With a mission to decarbonize aviation and positively impact the future of global connectivity, ZeroAvia is committed to developing scalable and sustainable hydrogen-electric powertrains.

The Structural Materials Group of ZeroAvia is working on the development of new materials and assemblies for Bi-Polar Plates (BPP) and gaskets in High-Temperature PEM (HT PEM) fuel cells. The result of the work may enable the application of HT PEM technology in a full range of aircrafts through use of the lightweight, electro-, and thermo-conductive materials and their structures suitable for an extended range of fuel cell operating conditions. Being a part of this group, you will be engaged in hands-on laboratory work with corrosion protection coatings (formulation, application, and testing); development and implementation of the best practices for the efficiency of the laboratory processes; any other activities that can utilize your expertise for the better product and laboratory. The assignment will have the best fit for those who are specialized in electrochemistry and polymer chemistry.

We are welcoming students considering a one year industrial placement as well as just-graduated students looking for their career start within the business. This is a great opportunity to raise your experience in laboratory work, knowledge of chemistry, and how it’s applied to hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Run the laboratory experiments – formulate materials, prepare samples, set up and conduct testing, document the results, prepare reports, and communicate to the group or leading engineer.
  • Analyse the results of the testing and propose further steps in laboratory activities to enhance the quality of the results or expand the data for better decisions on the technical program’s evolution.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Search, study, and implement best practices to increase confidence in the results and reduce the cost and time of the standard laboratory activities.
  • Search and analyze the information relevant to the development programs.
  • Organize and keep the laboratory space clean and safe for operation.
  • Support other activities in accordance with skillset per management request.

This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in a cutting-edge R&D environment and contribute to the development of clean aviation technology. At ZeroAvia, we value diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Join us in our mission to revolutionize aviation and create a sustainable future.
