The Opportunity: Summer Internship in Process Development 

This summer, step into the realm of scientific innovation and gain valuable, industry experience with our Process Development internship. Designed for those who aspire to contribute to the development of transformative treatments, this position offers a unique opportunity to learn through hands-on involvement.  
 
Through the development of chromatographic separation methods for viral vectors, you will make meaningful contributions to the company’s efforts in delivering transformative treatments for neurodegenerative diseases. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Explore Project Planning: Begin your journey by learning to navigate the planning of materials and timelines. Your fresh perspective will contribute to our shared project goals in meaningful ways. 
  • Dive into Production: With guidance from our team, you'll get hands-on experience in producing viral vectors. Discover the art and science of mammalian cell culture and transient transfection methods in a supportive environment. 
  • Experiment with Purification: Participate in the exciting process of purification experiments. Here, you’ll have the chance to see standard and novel chromatographic techniques in action, guided every step of the way. 
  • Data Analysis and Presentation: Learn to look at data with a critical eye. You’ll practice compiling, analyzing, and presenting data in ways that inform decisions. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you grow your skills in statistical analysis and using tools like GraphPad. 
  • Support Documentation and Compliance: Contribute to our meticulous documentation process, an essential part of our work. As you learn, you’ll help ensure the integrity and compliance of our data, all while being supported by our dedicated team. 
  • Maintain Safety and Collaboration: Join us in keeping our lab a clean, safe, and welcoming place to work. Your contribution to maintaining our high standards is invaluable, and you’ll learn the importance of compliance along the way.

Requirements

  • A foundation in mammalian cell culture techniques and AAV downstream processing. 
  • An understanding of bioprocess engineering and experience in laboratory practices. 
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data presentation, with experience in software like GraphPad.
