Laboratory Manager - fixed term contract

This is a full time, fixed term 12 month contract. Working Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
We are looking for a experienced, motivated Laboratory Manager to join our Milton Keynes Genomics site, the main duties will include:
- Create a workspace that supports good collaboration and work ethics in a designated workforce of trained and efficient employees. Therefore enabling Eurofins to develop and maintain a laboratory operation that provides quality data for our clients in a timely and cost-efficient way
- To fully support and sustain the Quality Management System in alignment to relevant ISO standards
- Daily management of laboratory to ensure targeted operational KPIs.
- Ensure appropriate resource available in relation to equipment and personnel to support operational needs.
- Responsible for working within the budget.
- Allocate employees as needed to secure agreed level of productivity.
- Ensure skills and competences in team are in place to handle production requirements.
- Oversees the orientation of new laboratory staff to their responsibilities and the function of the laboratory.
- Define an agree goals for relevant personnel and conduct annual PDR.
- Ensure, build and maintain a safe work environment.
- Create, maintain, and follow SOPs and other guidelines at all times.
- Identifies process improvements to better meet client expectations and company objectives, adopting LEAN approaches
- Oversees the monitoring of inventory/ordering by establishing and maintaining par levels and re-stocking points for general laboratory supplies and reagents, also negotiates with suppliers
