It is a high quality, community-based service, based on identified individualised needs, enabling service users to reach their fullest potential. We are looking for staff who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centered, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our mission and national standards, underpinned by quality and best practice and research.
We are looking for a Support Worker within our Day Service. The successful candidates will maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centered care, to promote optimum independence and choice, and to enhance the quality of life of the Service User in all aspects of daily living within a regulated framework. To assist and co-operate in the smooth running of the assigned area.
Day Services
Support Worker
1 Specified Purpose (6 Months) - 35 hours per week
1 Permanent Post - 28 hours per week
1 Permanent Post - 35 hours per week
Qualification
A Minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Social Care/Special Needs/Healthcare or related discipline
Experience
Experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability.
Knowledge and experience of the residential, social, and recreational needs of persons with an Intellectual Disability
Knowledge and experience of advocacy and individual personal plans/person centred planning.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role is essential.
